“These boots are made for walkin’…’’
“Why are those old boots hanging in the tree? ”This is a common opening question for a story filled conversation with our customers and visitors at our K9 Training Center in South Africa.
“Those are not just old boots, they are a walk down memory lane”, the conversation continuous, “but let me tell you the story….”
There are over 10 million Americans participating in alpine sports including mountaineering, rock and ice climbing. We believe as an outdoor footwear company, it’s critical for us to support organizations that help to advocate for the climbing community and the landscapes that are recreated on. This is why LOWA is a proud sponsor of the American Alpine Club (AAC). Founded in 1902, the AAC promotes and preserves the climbing way of life.

LOWA will be kicking off ice climbing season in December. Ice climbing clinics provide a great opportunity for all people, ranging from beginners to advanced climbers, to learn from the best, as well as contribute to the conversation of ice climbing.
