If you’ve seen online offers for LOWA boots and shoes that seem too good to be true, they probably are. Fraudulent websites are increasingly posing as LOWA online shops and the resulting scams damage consumers, authorized retailers, and the brand.

Here are a few things to look out for:

  • Typos and grammatical errors.
  • Suspiciously low prices.
  • A lack of contact information such as a physical address and/or phone number.

For your safety, please only buy from authorized LOWA USA dealers listed on our site.

Suspected cases of fraudulent activity can be reported at any time to or We will investigate and prosecute violations with all available means.

Resoling is possible, but not all LOWA Boots. Boots from our Mountaineering, Backpacking and Rock Climbing categories as well as most Mountain Hunting boots may be resoled. Boots and shoes from our Hiking, All Terrain Sport, Everyday, Kids’, Cold Weather boots categories and most models in the Task Force category are not resolable. A lace size chart can be found under Accessories on our top menu bar under Laces. A size chart is posted on each lace page. To ensure most accurate length match to the existing laces on your boots, we suggest that you pull a lace out, measure it and view the length on the chart to determine your replacement lace length.

LOWA boots in our “All Terrain Sport” line are Vegan-Friendly (made without any animal by-products). Click here to view All Terrain Sport models for men or women.

All LOWA boots are pretreated at the factory with a water-repellent finish so they won’t need additional waterproofing treatments until they’ve had significant wear. For a complete step by step guide on how to clean & waterproof your boots, please follow this link.

LOWA boots and shoes are warrantied against manufacturing defects, material defects or design defects for a period of one year from date of purchase. LOWA Boots will always agree to inspect a boot or shoe for a customer even past the normal warranty period. Please follow this link for more information.

You have up to 60 days from purchase to do a return/exchange. To be eligible, boots or shoes cannot be worn outside; labels and tags cannot be removed, and all packaging must be returned in new, sellable condition. To ensure a correct fit, we encourage you try on boots and shoes indoors and with the socks you intend to wear with your LOWA Boots. Visit our Return Policy for more information.

To print a return label, simply sign into your account on our website, go to your order and click on the “Order Number.” You’ll then see your order screen where you’ll see a “Print Return Label” button. Click on that button to print your label. Remember to mark and include the bottom half of your packing list with your return/exchange information.

Once your online order is placed, we immediately start to process it. If you realize you have made a mistake after placing your order, please contact us immediately at CS@LOWA.NET. We can change the size, color or width but we cannot change the model for a different model. Adjustments can be made Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM EST. All online orders made at LOWABOOTS.COM ship from Stamford, Connecticut, 06907. Orders ship during our business hours, Monday through Friday, with the exception of the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Juneteenth, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Orders placed during the business week (Mon-Fri) may take 1-3 business days to process before they ship. Orders placed after 2:30pm EST on Friday and on the weekend will not ship until the following week.

UPS 2nd Day, 3 Day Air, and Next Day Air received before 2:30pm EST (Mon-Fri) will ship on the same day (excluding holidays).

We are, however, currently seeing delays in order shipments due to high order volume in our warehouse. We apologize for these delays.

Orders ship from Stamford, CT, and may vary in transit time based on your distance from Connecticut.  

You’ll receive an email with your tracking information when your online order has shipped. You can also log in to your online account at any time for a status update – just click on your order number for that information.

Preorders are products that we currently do not have in stock and orders will be fulfilled and shipped at a future date. If you purchase a preorder item, you will be charged at time of purchase. The approximate delivery timeframe on preorders is listed on your order confirmation. We do our best to give a timeframe for deliveries, but sometimes things happen which can cause delays. Shipping times are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice.  You can email us at any time for an update, or log into your account. 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo, and PayPal.

The answer is yes we can. Please note that orders sent to P.O. Boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses can only be shipped via US Postal Service (USPS). Express shipping is not available to these locations. We can only supply a UPS label for a return/exchange within the contiguous (48 states) United States.

All products are shipped from Stamford, Connecticut. Use your STREET ADDRESS TO SAVE ON SHIPPING.    
* If you must have your order delivered to a P.O. Box, the package will be sent by U.S. Postal Service (USPS).

We prefer UPS (and, so should you) because it’s less expensive and we both can track your package. Please provide a street address so we can deliver to your front door. If your package is shipped via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), we are unable to track your package and we cannot be held responsible for delivery problems.

We encourage those who are eligible for tax exemptions to order from our Task Force dealers. Please follow this link for a Task Force dealer listing.

LOWA offers a professional discount for individuals who are employed full-time, earning a living in the outdoors. If you work for a gear or clothing supplier - or for an organization where you are on the field staff that guides or instructs others in outdoor skills, please email your request from your company or organization's email account, along with your job description to LOWA Customer Service. If approved, the appropriate form will be returned to you.

If you are active US military, or work on the field staff for the US Forest Service or a similar government agency please send your request on your government email account detailing what you do to LOWA Customer Service. If approved, the appropriate form will be returned to you.
