But you may wonder why an outdoor footwear company would sponsor skiers when they don’t produce ski boots.  It’s simple.  Biathletes don’t just perform on snow. They train and travel 12 months a year and LOWA excels in year-round products for all climates. On another level, LOWA is able to support a responsible shooting sport that aligns with their hunting and tactical business. “We are not in the gun business,” comments LOWA GM Peter Sachs. “We do, however, sell boots and shoes to a large spectrum of military, law enforcement, hunters and other responsible gun owners and users. Our involvement with Biathlon is a way for LOWA to show support for safe and responsible firearm use.”
