Size chart
Even if lengths of a LOWA shoe size are roughly identical, shoes sizes are not standardized. This can result in minor differences in size from category to category and from footwear manufacturer to footwear manufacturer. Furthermore, the shape of the shoe plays an important role in the perception of size. A narrow shape makes the shoe appear smaller, while a wide shape tends to make the shoe appear larger. Of course, your feet also change during the course of your life. As you get older, they get wider and longer. That’s why LOWA recommends you should always try on shoes and check your size in the shop before you buy them.

Your best bet is to try shoes on during the afternoon, as your feet swell a little during the course of the day.

This size chart is meant to be a guide for sizing LOWA footwear. Shoes need to be tried on and fit with appropriate socks in order to determine correct size. Please note that we cannot guarantee sizing as all feet are unique.

Men's:         Wide = E/EE     Narrow = C      Medium = D

Women's:    Wide = D          Narrow = B      Medium = C

The general rule is to order the same size LOWA Boots as your standard street shoe size.

NARROW: In a narrow last, the forefoot area has a smaller volume than the same area in a normal last. Shoes made with an S last can feel more comfortable for people with slimmer feet.

WIDE: In a wide last, the forefoot area has a greater volume than the same area in a normal last. Shoes made with a W last can feel more comfortable for people with special foot types (such as a bunion, flat foot, fallen arches etc.).

STANDARD: The standard last is best suited for medium-width feet. It is the jack-of-all-trades among lasts and is used for most LOWA-shoes.

WOMEN'S INJECTED SOLES are in the following boot categories: Hiking, All Terrain, Everyday, Cold Weather, and Task Force.

Combo pack of one Active Cream + one Water Stop at a cost savings vs. purchasing these items individually.

LOWA Active Cream Leather Conditioner is ideal for all leathers, all shoe textiles. Active Cream does not clog the pores of the leather and allows the leather to breathe, which in turn creates a more comfortable climate for your feet. LOWA Water Stop Pro is a waterproofing spray that closes the pores of the leather, preventing water absorption, while maintaining the breathable properties of fine leather. Water Stop Pro Spray also conditions fine leathers.

Please note - We cannot ship LOWA Water Stop products to APO/FPO/DPO addresses. [Security restrictions prohibit the shipment of this product to APO/FPO/DPO addresses.]

  • Active Cream Leather Conditioner - 75 ml.
  • Remember we are a German company, and the German translation for Creme is cream
  • PFC Free - no harmful perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemical

CARING FOR YOUR LOWA BOOTS:

Dirt and moisture have little effect on LOWA boots, but leather is a raw, natural material. Periodic leather treatments can significantly lengthen the lifespan of your boots. Plan on conditioning the leather every 6 months, or prior to an extended trip. Even if your boots have a GORE-TEX waterproof lining, the leathers should be conditioned every 6 months to protect your investment and keep your boots in tip top shape.

AIR DRY:

  • When you return from the trail, remove the in-soles and pull the tongue back, allowing the boots to air properly and dry out.
  • Footbeds absorb a lot of moisture . They'll dry much quicker if removed from the boot.
  • If your boots are very wet, stuff newspaper into the toe area . This helps absorb moisture and hold the boot shape. (Remove the newspaper after 24 hours.)
  • Tip: Setting your boots next to a campfire will NOT speed up the drying process. Oh, they'll dry quick, but the intense heat will ruin the leather and severely shorten the life of your boots. (Especially if they catch on fire!)

REMOVING DIRT:

  • For normal levels of dirt, brushing it off with a wet cloth, using lukewarm water, will suffice. This is a good method for cleaning the footbeds, too.
  • For really muddy boots, opt for a shoe cleaning product.
  • When you clean the boots with lukewarm water you can see how the pores of the leather open up, absorbing more moisture. This is the ideal time to apply a cream to condition the leather.

STORING YOUR LOWA BOOTS:

  • Store leather boots in a dry, well-aired place. Damp basements or the trunk of your car can create problems for fine leather.
