LOWA's 2025-2026 Ice Climbing Season
It’s time to embrace the freeze and hit the ice! We’re excited to announce our schedule for the 2025-2026 ice climbing festival season. The LOWA team will be in Montana, Colorado, and New York this year with demos, swag, and our team of expert climbers ready to teach clinics.
We’ll have demo pairs of ALPINE EXPERT II GTX in men’s and women’s sizes available at all three of this season’s festivals. A limited run of ALPINE ICE will also be available. Be sure to arrive early for a pair of demos, these boots go fast!
Bozeman Ice Festival
Bozeman, Montana | December 10-14, 2025
Hyalite Canyon outside of beautiful Bozeman, Montana is home to world-class ice climbing. With in-town and in-canyon events happening all day, this festival has something for spectators, beginners, and experts alike. For the last 29 years, climbers across the country have flocked to the Bozeman Ice Festival for fun, challenges, and friends.
Our own LOWA ambassadors, Carlos Buhler and Marcus Garcia, will be teaching clinics. To take a class from them, be sure to reserve a spot here. Sunny Stroeer will also be attending to share more about the Summit Scholarship Foundation and its mission of gender equity in mountaineering.

Ouray Ice Festival
Ouray, Colorado | January 22-25, 2026
Tucked into the canyon near a small town in Colorado is the world’s largest human-made ice climbing park. The park is only open three months out of the year, but during that time, climbers enjoy over 200 ice and mixed climbing routes. This year marks the 31st Ouray Ice Festival, the park’s main fundraising event.

Adirondack International Mountainfest
Keene Valley, New York | February 14-16
East coasters get some love too this season. The beloved Mountaineer outdoor store is hosting Mountainfest in the Adirondacks where climbers can sharpen their skills and try new gear. We’ll have pairs of LOWA ALPINE EXPERT II GTX for men and women available for climbing demos.
Join our ambassador, Marcus Garcia, for intermediate and advanced climbing clinics. He’ll also be presenting at the Keene Central School ‘Beaver Dome’.
