2023 Hunters of Color Non-Profit Spotlight

Image

Did you know that only three percent of hunters are BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)? We believe as an outdoor footwear company, it’s critical for us to support organizations that remove barriers for people to access the outdoors, which is why LOWA is a proud sponsor of Hunters of Color (HOC). HOC’s main mission is to foster a more equitable and inclusive community for hunters.

As part of our year-long Giveback Program to celebrate LOWA’s 100th anniversary, from October 30 – November 5, 5% of net sales on all purchases on www.lowaboots.com will go to Hunters of Color to help make “The Outdoors for Everyone.”

About Hunters of Color

HOC is a racial equity based nonprofit working on increasing BIPOC participation in hunting for the sake of conservation, food sovereignty, and to preserve our ancestral traditions. Their three guiding pillars are Mentorship, Conservation and Education.

Since one of the barriers to hunting can be the cost of equipment, LOWA provides hunting boots to HOC mentees and ambassadors.
