We believe the outdoors is for everyone. Which is why each year we donate to many great non-profit organizations that are removing barriers and increasing equitable access to the outdoors.

As part of our 100 Years of LOWA celebration, we are spotlighting our non-profit partnerships with Giveback Programs throughout the year. During select dates, 5% of net sales on all online purchases on www.lowaboots.com will go to a non-profit organization.

Our first Giveback week benefits Big City Mountaineers and runs from February 27 to March 5.

Big City Mountaineers (BCM) is a national nonprofit organization that provides transformative experiences through connections to nature that strengthen life skills and build community for youth from historically disinvested communities.

BCM offers programs in six major metropolitan areas across the United States, including Colorado, California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington, and Minnesota. In partnership with local youth agencies and schools in their program areas, they shape the nature and content of their programs uniquely to the youth they work with depending on their contexts and needs. Through a scaffolded approach to their programming, they ensure young people are introduced to the outdoors in a way that is accessible for them - starting off with a day hike, then an overnight frontcountry experience, and ending with their flagship week-long backcountry expedition. BCM’s trips are professionally-led, fully-outfitted, and free of cost to youth.
