Handcrafted in Italy. A new school of thought in backpacking boot design featuring reduced weight, easy ankle flex & easy lacing, while maintaining the sole stability for slogging heavy loads over rugged terrain & long distances.
  • UPPERS: Waxed split leather/microfiber.
  • LINING: waterproof GORE-TEX® with a patented stitching construction that ensures a smooth and seamless fit, eliminating hot spots.
  • CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM: Perforations in the boot's lining allow air to enter, pumping heat and moisture back out.
  • TONGUE STUD/X-LACING: allows for better pressure distribution.
  • C4 TONGUE: Anatomically contoured to cradle the foot in comfort.
  • MIDSOLE: PU with SPS dynamic midsole technology that allows for normal pronation but reduces excess, providing support and stability when walking.
  • FOOTBED: Balance Insole, with a breathable top layer, and slow reacting foam, delivers instant customization to the foot. This proprietary insole transports moisture away from the foot, eliminates pressure points, minimizes friction between foot and insole and reduces fatigue.
  • OUTSOLE: Vibram® Tactis for traction, cushioning and support underfoot on uneven, rocky terrain.
  • STABILIZER: 5mm nylon.

I own these boots and have been backpacking twice up steep grades. Both times I got heal blisters. Not the boots for me!

Easily the best boots I have ever owned. Was lazy and didn't get a chance to break them in before I went backpacking with them for the first time. No blisters. First time that has ever happened for me with any boot for any amount of break in. They didn't even hurt when putting them on in the morning. Usually that is a very dreaded moment. Not with these boots! Amazing. Worth every penny.
"Deep Alaska snow, class 3 scrambling and a whole lot of rain were no match for one diehard tester wearing the LOWA Ticams, from the box to the trail, no break-in required. 'They worked flawlessly climbing the Odyssey Mountain where I plowed through snow to the summit with completely dry feet and full protection from exposed rocks." ~ Backpacker Gear Guide.
